Inspiration in 100 pages or less!

I just reread The One Minute Manager. I read this book when I was in graduate school and the book is still apropos. Reading it now I see how reflective it is of our values and that it CAN work if the environment is conducive and applied. The premise is that people who feel good about themselves produce good results and it carries to their personal lives. I won't give away the 3 secrets but it is worth taking the time to absorb this short, concise 100 page tool.

Can't win them all, Aleph

This book reads as a slightly arrogant retelling of Coelho's trip across Russia in order to bring his spiritual journey to a whole new level of discovery. Unfortunately, the journey is only slightly interesting and not universally appealing, nor is the end discovery especially moving. I found Coelho's recounting of how he spiritually instructed others to be slightly too self-confident as well as the recounting of his journey into his previous lives not worth the number of pages he dedicated to them. I would not recommend this book on any account and would suggest to Coelho to go back to masking his personal experiences with fictional people and events in order to not offend his audience.
