Amazingly lightweight cover for the Kindle Touch
I did a lot of searching for the lightest cover I could find for my Kindle Touch. Eventually I "settled" on this Trip Jacket in purple despite the tan interior. I'm really glad I did, because the cover is amazingly lightweight and fits the Touch wonderfully. Because the cover is made to also hold the slightly smaller non-touch Kindle, the Touch version fits very snugly into the interior straps so it's extremely secure with no risk of slipping out. The strap around the exterior of the cover is great for holding the cover closed, or keeping the front from flipping around when folded back from reading. I slipped my E-luminator light into the appropriate pocket and flipped the switch, as usual it lights up the screen perfectly when adjusted where I like it. My only real complaint is still the light tan interior of this cover, I really prefer a darker interior to go with the dark gray of the Kindle casing. However the tan does look better in person than it does in the pictures, and since I've combined it with a medium-colored decorative skin, the color is not as jarring as I feared it might be. Despite my dislike of the interior color, overall I really like this cover and I'm glad I decided to take a chance on it.
Good Quality; some odd design decisions
This case is of good quality, and I love the elastic band (EVERY such case should include an elastic band!). But there are a couple of odd design decisions. First the light attachment "slot" is along the right-hand edge of the case. This means that it does NOT sit inside the case when it's closed (which, in turn, makes it more vulnerable to being damaged, along with inadvertently turning on and off accidentally). While most of the photos of M-Edge products show the light sitting along the inside "spine", this one is not that way (and, to be fair, the photo clearly shows that). Perhaps this was done because having it on the left side would somehow throw the balance off or something, but having a little extra room for it on that side would be a good trade-off. Another issue is that the e-luminator light is longer than the case, so it hangs off the end. Weird, and very much a concern that the light head will be damaged. Finally, with the light attached on the right side, the elastic band has to maneuver over/around it. VERY weird design decision there, because it's a huge hassle. Overall, the case is nice. Well-made and protects the device fine, but it does have some weird design decision with regards to the e-luminator placement.

Absolutely Love It !!
I purchased two covers, the pink and the purple. You know it's a woman's perogative to have more than one. Seriously, I love that the cover really holds the Kindle Touch in place at all times, the strap holds it closed, and when the cover is open it feel like you're hold a book. It's also a great gift for friends.
Nice Quality Cover
I had a zip-around cover for my old Kindle and was a little hesitant about the book-like design of this one but I absolutely love it. Kindle stays put, illuminator light fits nice and tight though is a little dim for my eyes, and the elastic band keeps everything secure. Contrary to another reviewer's comment, I can and do use the band around the back of the cover while reading and still able to slide my hand inside. This cover is so versatile in that you can prop it several different ways to get comfy while reading in bed. My only nit is that the only color available in stores is the pink which I have and am now on the web site to choose another color for variety. Fits nicely into a bag or backpack and I just came back from a trip where the bag was bounced around quite a bit and everything is safe and secure. Very nice quality for the price.
Quality without breaking the budget!
Good blend of leather and quality fabrics. Holds the Kindle Touch firmly in place. Strap to keep face of device covered and very well protected. Definitely best case I've seen that is meant for daily use (all leather cases tend to get scuffs, etc on them). Stain-resistance means I can go to lunch with it without worrying about getting mustard stains on it!;-)
Nice cover however
if you're trying to use it with the M Edge eLuminator it just doesn't work. The light is too big for this case, if you fold it down, it sticks out past the case. If the light were a little shorter that might be fine, or if the pocket for the light was on the inside rather than outside, it might work. But it doesn't... because I like the cover so much I am trying my best to find another light to fit it.
2nd pink trip jacket
I had an original kindle with one of these covers - cover was a gift. I lost them somewhere ---I so missed the kindle. I ordered another one and a week later ordered another cover. The kindle is just not the same without the cover. I love this cover the canvas is agood and comfortable choice of fabric. I am pleased to see the choice of colors - enough to suit everyone. I did not lose my light, so do not need a new one, but am tempted by the automatic shutoff feature. I often fall asleep with it on.
Perfect Jacket!
I love this jacket! I find it stylish, colorful, and most important of all, protective! My kindle touch fits snugly in the jacket and it is padded. I have no fear of throwing it in my bag. I like that it has no chance of opening up due to the elastic band that holds it closed and I can still open it and fold it under. M-Edge keep up the great work!
Perfect cover
I love this cover. It is lightweight and sturdy, and it fits my Kindle Touch perfectly. The colors are great (I got the red and navy). I would highly recommend these covers to anyone looking for a jacket style cover. The cover is unobtrusive while reading and protects well when not reading. Love it!
Nice Cover; Great Customer Service
I ordered my M-Edge cover just before Christmas. (It wasn't a Christmas gift, just coincided with the holiday.) The USPS reported it delivered but we never got a package. I emailed M Edge and they immediately sent a replacement that arrived in just two days. I love the cover and I love how promptly helpful they are as a company!

Awesome cover
This is the second cover I've bought for my kindle. The first one was a zip-up one, which seemed good a the time, but after my girlfriend bought a trip jacket and I used hers, I had to have one. It's so incredibly easy and comfortable to use and looks like a little journal. My only qualm...I wish the colors they have available for the larger kindle (kindle with keyboard) were also available for the kindle 4. The green one in particular. Besides that, this is a great case.
Great jacket!
I searched around for about a week looking for the best Kindle jacket/case I could find. I settled on this trip jacket and when we got it and put it on I have to say we didn't settle for anything, as this thing is great. The only thing is the color choice are kind of goofy, other than that this is a great product.
Bright and cheery
I have two of these for my K3 (navy and pink), so I ordered one for my Touch in the new Coral color. It's a nice bright, summery cover, and I like the contrasting elastic to hold it closed.
Great case
I purchased the Trip Jacket and Touch booklight because Amazon's light was out of stock, and the negative reviews were not making me want to buy. What I like about the Trip Jacket: 1. Yay! An elastic to keep the case in place! 2. I like folding it back over when open so the cover doesn't flop around. 3. Case is not leather but it is very nicely constructed. 4. Interior is nice. 5. Book light is nice. I like being able to move it around. What I'm not a fan of: 1. Wish the light could run off the kindle power. 2. Not a huge fan of the "holder" for the kindle -- 4 straps..I keep thinking "is the kindle in as far as it can go?" I'm not sure. At the end of the day, the cover + light here is less expensive and the case is available now. and I like the color too.
Good case
Case is great, minimal annoyance is hanging band when the case is open but I just have to remember to wrap it around the top of the case.

I had this cover for my first kindle and bought it again for the new touch I upgraded to, still love it. Easy to keep the cover out of the way while I read, fun color, spot for the light (which m-edge also upgraded and it rocks!)- everything I need.
lots of compliments
Got this for my mom for Christmas. It was really well received. My sister who had also gotten a kindle didn't like her case as much as this one. It feels sturdy, looks pretty and fits the kindle and the light (which was indispensable for my mom) really well. She loved it. Definitely worth it!
5 Star Customer Service!
I had a conversation with Sarah today about purchasing Executive Jackets w/hand straps. She was extremely nice, knowledgeable about their products, patient with me, and answered all of my questions, concerns, and comments with extreme politeness! I asked to speak with her supervisor, as I wanted to let him/her know how impressed I was her. I was transferred to Jackie, whom I found to have an abundance of caring and politeness towards me! Jackie, even went so far as to take down my suggestions for possibly offering hand straps on more styles of their Jackets, in addition to the Executive Jacket for the iPad. I love M-Edge products!! Now, I can add that I also love their Customer Service Representatives!!
SImple, elegant case
This is a great case. It is simple, elegant, and it really feels like you're reading a book when you use it. Notes for Kindle Touch: (1) It was rather tricky to get my Kindle Touch *into* the case. The straps for the top of the Kindle have elastic, but the straps on the bottom are all leather. The leather hadn't really been broken in yet, so it was very taut. But once it is in, it is nice and snug. (2) Because of this tautness, the power adapter and power button are a little recessed (~1/4") inside the case as well. This does not prevent charging or powering on/off, but might require more deft fingers.

Quite happy with it
I tried a couple of other covers from the book store but they just don't have the nice features and quality of the M-Edge covers. I really didn't feel like waiting for an online order but I decided I would to get a better cover. In the end, I ordered it on Saturday evening and received it Tuesday morning in Canada - WOW! My only problem is (and it is my fault I know) is that I left it sitting inside where it got a lot of direct sunlight for a few days and the purple cover faded! Darn!

I purchased this cover and light for my Sony reader 650 (Sony isn't making covers for this version any longer). It is a near perfect fit,my power switch is blocked just a little so I contemplated 4 stars, but as it is not meant to fit my reader I am thrilled that it does!
Pretty in pink
I decided to order a Kindle Touch. My next web stop was M-edge. I ordered the trip jacket in pink and it is so pretty. It is very lightweight and I appreciate the elastic strap that holds the jacket closed. The combination of pink and orange is stiunning. The free shipping is a huge plus . I ordered on the 10th in the late afternoon and It was in my post office box on Tuedsay afternoon. M-edge is my go to shop for my gadgets.
just what i wanted
was looking for a very lightweight cover for the new kindle and this is it. love the color (purple with turquoise elastic. am eagerly awaiting the re-design of the M-Edge kindle light which will fit better with this new smaller size case.

I bought a pink Trip Jacket for my g/friend for Christmas and she absolutely LOVES it. Thank you, M-Edge, I think she might even marry me now! Seriously though, it is a very well made product, nicely finished, has a real quality look and feel. It fits snugly so the Kindle doesn't slop about at all, and it gives it a nice chunky feel in the hand without being too heavy. One thing though, be careful to select for the right model of Kindle... the first one I bought was for the larger model with the keyboard, so did not fit. Now replaced with the correct one, and the above says it all !
great cover
I love this cover. I got the purple one and the color is just as displayed. the canvas outer feels very sturdy and high quality. My kindle4 fits very snuggly into the holders. If I had to make a negative point then I think the light color of the inner may get dirty quickly and also the 'fake leather' looks a little cheap. But overall great and so bright and colorful.
Great cover but...
This is a great cover, I bought one for my Kindle 2 and then the Kindle 3. I also got two more for my parents kindles. I am not a fan of the leather ones they don't feel like a book to me but the trip jacket is just my style. My only problem is I am about to buy the Kindle touch and I wanted to get this cover again but there is no green any more. Green is my favourite colour and I don't want any of the current colours. So I will have to buy a different cover this time. I am very tempted to design my own but they don't have the elastic.
excellent cover
This is the second cover in this style I have bought - the first was for my previous Kindle. Still a great cover, sturdy, works well. The elastic band on this one is a LITTLE loose, though. And I wish there was a version that hinged on the top, but with a pocket for the light - maybe there will be soon; I'll keep checking! I highly recommend this cover...
Perfect for Kindle Paperwhite
I recently purchased a Kindle Paperwhite and spent many hours on-line searching for a cover/case for it. I had past experience with M-Edge products when I purchased a couple of cases/covers for my old e-reader, a Sony PRS300. The quality of M-Edge products is always there and this case is another quality item. This case fits the Paperwhite perfectly and the device is nice and secure w/great screen protection. I like the fact it has the elastic band to keep the cover closed with device is not in use. All in all, I am very pleased with my gut instinct to once again go with M-Edge for my electronic device needs. Recieved it within one week of on-line purchase and arrived in perfect condition.
Abysmal Product; Returned.
One of the few and rare products I returned. I bought this for two reasons: one, so that I could use the elastic strap to fold the cover back and hold it in place, so I could slide my hand in between to hold it one-handed that way; and two, to use with the e-Luminator book light. Unfortunately, it has major problems with the latter and completely fails with the former. First, the elastic strap is attached at the middle of the back of the cover. What this means is that when you fold it back, it doesn't have enough tension or the proper angle to hold the cover back with your hand in it. Completely and utterly worthless for the purpose of holding your Kindle one-handed. For the second, the e-Luminator attaches along the outside edge of the device. This is weird in itself. Yes, the photos clearly show the e-Luminator being attached on the outer edge, but I thought it was just another option (in addition to the e-Luminator being able to attach along the inner-edge/spine, which allows the light to be protected by the case when not in use), but there is no slot along the inner edge at all. This is problematic for a few reasons. First, having the light along the outside edge provides no protection for it. It just hangs out there. Second, the light is actually longer than the case...and it's the "head" area (the most vulnerable part, and most likely to be damaged) that sticks out from the case edge. Bad idea! Third, and by far the worst aspect of the design (related to the light placement), is that because the light is longer than the edge of the case, when you try to move the elastic band, you have to carefully maneuver it around the light...or remove the light just to switch the elastic band, then re-place the light. Horrible design decision! They need to design a better case and/or light combo so that the light can be stowed along the inner spine of the case (similar to some of their other cases...not sure why they abandoned that good design for this poor one), and so that the elastic band is actually useful. As it is, I could live with the issues with the light if the elastic band was functional at all. Without that, though, it defeats the purpose of why I was looking for a case with an elastic band in the first place. It's pretty rare for me to return items, even flawed ones. But when it's completely unusable to me, back it goes. This was my first M-Edge product, and I bought it along with the e-Luminator light, which is excellent. So far M-Edge is 1-for-2.

Nice cover
I like the look and feel of this cover. I have used the same cover for Kindle Keyboard and now have bought it for my Kindle 4. Despite all good things about this cover it has one feature I really dislike: the elastic strap is attached at the middle of the back of the cover. That means it doesn't have enough tension and the proper angle to hold the cover when it is flipped back. I would prefer if the strap was attached at top and bottom to securely hold the open cover.
Perfect case!
This is one of my favorite M-Edge cases ever. The purple color is beautiful, with the contrasting aqua band a perfect touch. I love that not only does the band keep your reader closed for carrying, but it can also be used to hold your cover open while reading. Like all M-Edge cases I've had the pleasure to own, this cover is very sturdily made.
5 Stars for the Company
I am very happy with the cover for my Kindle. It fits nicely in it and I can hook the light I have to the back cover and it doesn't fall off anymore.

Securing band seems a little loose. If it doesn't get any looser with use it will be OK.
protective and pretty
The colors of the case are pretty much in line with what's pictured on the website. Very pretty and bright. Elastic strap holds the cover closed. I like the fact that this is a non-leather case (i.e., no animals harmed). I think it protects my paper white as well as a leather case would from dirt and damage. Seems to repel dirt so far, too. Scuffs and grime don't show yet and I've used the case every day for about a month.
Perfect for the paperwhite
The trip case fits my paperwhite perfectly. It does not add any extra weight and it is still easy to hold the paperwhite for reading. I would highly recommend this product. Be warn that it is a little bit of a challenge to get the paperwhite into the case at first. But one wants a tight fit so that the kindle doesn't slip. Also all ports and buttons are easily accessible.
Fantastic case
I did a lot of research before purchasing the Trip case, so I was not surprised at the overall quality and style of the product. I'm completely happy with the case- it's functional, protective and looks great as well!

Love this case...My 2nd of its kind
I had this same case for an earlier version Kindle, and when my Kindle needed updating, I was so glad to find it was still produced and in the smaller version. It's compact. Clean-looking. Secure. Easy-to-hold. My only "complaint" was that I preferred the lime green band (v. red) of my first M-Edge Kindle Case.

Attractive and sturdy
It looks good and has a feeling of quality. No regrets buying it. My only complaint is that the leather spine on mine isn't cut straight, giving the case a very slightly warped look when I have it open. Nothing glaring though, I would definitely buy it again.

It is perfect for my basic Kindle. I have not found an M Edge product that I was disappointed with and this one is no exception. It is very functional and a fun color.

perfect case
I'm very happy with the Trip Case in Navy Blue. I initially ordered the Coral (which I don't see anymore on the website) but didn't like it as much as I'd anticipated. The navy with red is perfect. The light fits perfectly as well and I travelled overseas for 2 weeks with it attached to the case with absolutely no problem (i.e. it wasn't damaged - not that I expected it to be! - and it didn't switch on accidentally in my bag). The best part, imo, is the excellent customer service. Emails were responded to promptly and my one phone call was with a very pleasant and efficient young lady. Happy with my purchase :)
Nice product
I wanted something basic to protect my Kindle when I travel, and not black, so that I could find it in my bag. I like that this has the band to keep it closed when not in use. Simple, attractive design, not heavy--just what I wanted.
Cute case and functional too!
I love my coral trip case. The coral canvas is super cute with the turquoise elastic band. It holds my Kindle perfectly and keeps it protected when it's knocking around my handbag. It's also compact and really light and doesn't feel like i'm carrying my Kindle with me.
Nice and funky
Bought this as a gift for my brother and nearly kept it for myself! Fun colours, beautifully made, neat and sleek and fits the kindle well. Highly recommended!

This thing seriously is awesome. I love it. Great look, great feel, very functional. And you can hold the front cover back by wrapping the elastic band around it while reading; a nice touch. The only complaint: the price. Come on. $34.99? Seriously? But I digress... obviously it's worth it because I paid for it and then took the time to come here and give it a review.
Great Product
I got one for my kindle about a year ago, and love it. Recently my husband got a new kindle, and we ordered the black one for his. He thinks it's terrific.
Great case
I love this case! The leather is great quality and and sturdy construction. It is easy to put my kindle in it but holds it securely. The stand portion works well and it is easy and none of the ports ( for speakers etc) are covered by the case.

I really like this cover. I have the blue one and I use it for my Sony ereader, it's good-looking and sturdy. My only complaint is that with the sony ereader, some of the buttons (the on-off button and the left page turner) are obscured by the bottom corner thingys. Otherwise, love it!

poor colour choices
I am really unhappy about the colour choices for the touch version of this cover, There is a pink and orange that look very similar and the blue and purple look very similar. There is no green any more and there is also no subtler colours, a blue/grey or a earthy tan. Either they are too dark or too girly for me. It is a shame because I have the green keyboard version and I love it.
