Just purchased the new Google Nexus7 2nd Generation tablet and could not find the proper case for it. Finally found this case at best buy and it's perfect! It looks good and very sturdy - holds the tablet securely and protects the screen as well. Worth the money.
I absolutely loved this case cover when I bought it. It works really well. You are able to use the tablet at many different angles. And the case itself is gorgeous. I have the purple case, and it feels and looks great. BUT! After only 1 month of use one of the 4 straps totally snapped. I didn't have it in the sun or in any other compromising condition, and therefore I was really sad when it snapped. I still use the case because it is beautiful. But now my Nexus 7 sits sidewise in the case because the tension isn't distributed evenly. So like the title says. I want to give it 5 stars for ease of use, convenience and beauty, but the snapped elastic strap after only one month drops the rating.
There are pros and cons with this case. Overall, I love the texture of it. It has a soft, microfiber feel. I like the color. It is a rich, vibrant red. The bands that hold the Kindle are snug. The magnetic closure is strong and holds the case closed well. It isn't bulky so I can carry it in my purse (which is over-sized). However, I have 2 cons: I have a Kindle Fire HDX. It is a little difficult to press the button to turn it on. The location of the bands covers the small depressed button. The second con is that when the case is open, if I just want to hold it and not prop it, it flops all the way open. It would be helpful if there were something that would hold the Kindle to the back of the case until I wanted to prop it open. I returned one case because it didn't have the magnetic closure. To me, this is an absolute necessity so the Kindle doesn't get damaged.
I didn't want to wait for M-Edge to create a dedicated cover for my Nexus 7 (which has the best picture quality around!) so bought this one right away. It's light weight and gives very good protection with easy access to the charge port and power switch. Unfortunately the upper right elastic strap is partly over the volume switch so I usually need to move it a little to change the volume. The red color is beautiful, but gets dirty around the edges. A soft cloth with a little dish detergent suds cleans it right up. It folds horizontally into a neat stand but I wish it could also be folded into a vertical stand.
I bought this case when I purchased Nexus 7 (2013) at Best Buy. Found it to be quite good, despite the slight adjustment in positioning the loop near the On / Off switch. But my wife grabbed it for her Kindle and I have to buy this a second time.
