The clutch-like Icon jacket is designed for on-the-go Kindle readers who do not want to sacrifice style for functionality. The Icon Jacket is available in patent leather or embossed-crocodile leather and each is designed with a lush grey microsuede interior that includes a pen loop. A four point mounting system holds the device in place and a detachable wristlet allows for easy transportation without disrupting the luxury feel. The envelope style closure is secured with a hidden magnet and folds back for easy reading. The M-Edge logo hardware located on the front of each jacket completes the look and is accompanied by an M-Edge cloth bag for added protection when storing the device. The Icon Jacket is compatible with and stores M-Edge e-Luminator Touch booklight(sold separately), and innovative booklight compatible w/ all M-Edge jackets.
Received the Icon jacket and put my Kindle and my new E-Luminator light in it. Loved it! I wanted a jacket that would accommodate a light, so it was great. Then, I tried to read with the jacket on. Ugh. The outer flap on the right side shields the buttons and I have to push it away every time I want to use the menu or home buttons and the page turn button. The left side of the jacket doesn't fold back, either. I have to read as though I'm holding a regular book! Might as well buy a hardback and at least enjoy the experience. Also, the patent leather doesn't slide easily so I'm always left trying to jam my Kindle into my purse or bag. Yes, a soft pouch comes with the cover, but who wants to fold up the cover, slip it into a pouch (if you can rummage around to find it) and then put it away? Pain in the neck!
I just love this jacket for my Kindle. I accidently left my Kindle on an aircraft (I am a flight attendant) and someone actually turned it in, I was completely surprised expecting to never see my Kindle again. I gave the airport my phone number and they called me to tell me they had it and said they, "knew it was mine because it had my initials on it "MC" ", which is actually the ME trademark for M-Edge. But hey, if it gets my Kindle back to me because they think it is my initials so be it. I would love to see the same jacket in an iPad size. Please!!!!
