Suitable for any situation -- from the office, to business meetings, to the classroom -- the M-Edge Method Portfolio is designed for users who are looking to protect their iPad 1 & 2 while organizing their professional and personal belongings. The interior sleeve has a four point mounting system on the front and back to allow for use on the left or right of the portfolio. For on-the-go users the portfolio doubles as a wallet or purse, with four credit card pockets, a clear ID window, and a business envelope/boarding pass pocket. Two leather pockets are sized to fit the iPhone and Blackberry with a magnetic closure strap for added protection. For larger documents, there is an expandable storage pocket sized for a standard manila folder and the rear interior accommodates a standard-sized pad of paper (not included). A dual zipper closure ensures that all items are kept secure in the Method Portfolio.
First, the constructive suggestion: make it a bit thicker or, even better, offer 2-3 thickness options. Top class look & feel (and finishing), but there is a rather big amount of wishfull thinking in saying (quote) "storing their professional and personal belongings in a way that is suitable for any situation -- from the office, to business meetings, to the classroom" The portfolio is too slim for anyone who stores more than a few sheets of paper besides the iPad. I would not recommend even to stuff it with cables, charger and phone due to the risk of damaging/deforming the iPad itself, the leather and/or the zipper. Mine was immediately given to one of my sons (MD) who is very happy carrying nothing but prescription forms a pen and the iPad... Of course, his medical apparatus remained in the usual "doctor's bag" (which did not accomodate the iPad well).
This portfolio is everything that I have been looking for after trying at least five other options. The quality is as good as the supposed name brands and the detail is exceptional. There are pockets and room for everything I need. As noted above, you don't have room to put everything at once, but who would? I would recommend this product and company without hesitation. One caution, don't take the free shipping, Smart Post is a joke unless you don't want the product before your kids grow up.
I bought this a few weeks ago and yes, the pictures seem to indicate you could load a whole truck in there and all would be well. That is not the case though. however, when you look at it practically it hold a bunch of stuff well as long as you do not overload it. If you treat it like a solid all leather case that will hold some paper and your device then this is the best there is. But I agree with the last person, you cannot overload it.
Too bad that this is no longer available. It does everything that you could ask, but not at the same time. Who would put all the items in as pictured? Yet, there are the slots and spaces for them when you need them. Bring it back without the picture
Excellent case replacing a Daytimer. Works well with the iPad2 EXCEPT it's a bit anorexic. Like the slim feel but carry around a small number of handouts - it's just a bit too thin. 1/4 to 3/8" thicker would be perfect for sales types (like me).
I paid over $100 for this and the version I got wasn't even leather. If you fill it with anything other than your iPad, it starts to tear at the seems due to the cheap materials.....it was a waste of money.
I've been using the Method Portfolio for about a month now and I'm loving it! It does everything that's written in the overview and the materials and workmanship are above par. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because when you put in your phone and other stuff in the numerous pockets, it becomes a bit too snug and when it's zippered-up it tends to go a bit out of shape. Apart from that, it's all good!
I bought this case as a Christmas present for my girlfriend who is getting ready for Law School. I figured this would be a great way for her to carry everything she needed in a nice and professional looking case. She had been complaining how she had to carry her portfolio which houses her legal pad and all of her papers, her purse which held her phone, pens, glasses, and also her iPad in it's own case. I found this on Amazon and thought that I had hit the jackpot. Not so. If you try to put anything more than an iPad and a legal pad in the case, there is obvious bulging and it looks quite ugly. Trying to fit the exact contents that the M-Edge website as well as the photos on Amazon show, the case will not even close without damaging the case or iPad. Not only would I not recommend this case to anyone, I actively suggest not getting it!
