M-Edge Accessories Partners with The New Yorker to Create Branded Jackets for Amazon Kindle

New Line of eReader Jackets Features Magazine's Iconic Cover Art

(December 09, 2009) -- M-Edge Accessories, the leading provider of eReader accessories, today announces a new line of Amazon Kindle jackets that feature some of The New Yorker's famous covers. The New Yorker jackets provide the magazine's readers and art aficionados alike with a unique and colorful way to protect their Kindle with the exceptional quality and functionality that M-Edge Accessories is known for within the eReader industry.

The New Yorker line features three different cover works:

  • "Bookopolis" by Eric Drooker
  • "Book Lovers" by Adrian Tomine
  • "Sunday Afternoon in Central Park" by Bob Knox

The iconic covers appear on M-Edge's popular GO! jacket, an ultra-slim, lightweight cover made with 100% genuine leather. Using a photo sublimation process, the printed fabric on the front panel closely replicates the original cover art. The inside of the jacket features a tan microfiber interior and a Kindle-compatible hinge system to hold the device securely in place. To allow users to read in low-light environments, The New Yorker jackets are also compatible with M-Edge's innovative e-Luminator2 booklight.

"Our partnership with The New Yorker has resulted in three unique and timeless jacket options for Kindle owners and New Yorker subscribers alike," commented Patrick Mish, CEO of M-Edge Accessories. "Similar to how The New Yorker can be judged by its cover, our branded New Yorker Kindle jackets provide another way for readers to personalize their devices with a statement of sophistication and distinctive visuals of American culture."

The New Yorker's exceptional illustrated covers have been a hallmark of the magazine since the very first issue in 1925. Created by a large stable of talented artists, the covers vary in mood and style but are united in their visual sophistication, their imaginative wit, and their pleasure-giving quotient.

M-Edge's New Yorker Kindle jackets retail for $49.99. Subscribers of The New Yorker are able to purchase the covers at a 20% discount from December 11-January 1, 2010. The jackets are available for purchase at medgestore.com and Amazon.com.
