I own this case in platinum and am very happy with my purchase. This is the best option for viewing your Fire on a stand. OTHER covers fold back, exposing the soft grey microfiber inside to whatever surface the cover is set up on, such as greasy restaurant table tops... and then the dirt will be pressed against your screen when you close the case. THIS cover folds forward, putting the leather outer surface against the tabletop. The leather will be much easier to wipe clean than the soft microfiber surface and only a clean microfiber surface will ever be near your screen. The platinum color is classy looking, and not so overly flashy or glitzy that a man would be hesitant to use it. Because Amazon chose to put both speakers on the same end of the fire, one of the two is under the "frame" that holds the Fire in the case. There is no clasp to hold the cover closed which would have been a great additional design feature. Those are the only two "cons" to this purchase, and they have little impact on my enjoyment of this well designed case.
I'm extremely happy with the way my order was handled. Prompt communication delivery. I'm pleased with the case but notice two issues: -the user ends up with only one speaker because the housing covers the other speaker. -the sides that hold the kindle in place tends to get pushed out a little. I would have liked for it to be tucked in nicely and aligned.
Love this cover! The carbon fiber look/feel was better than expected - the pictures don't truly do it justice. The construction is solid, and the microsuede interior is a nice touch. I was initially concerned about it NOT having a closure system, but it's been fine - there's enough "weight" in the cover to keep in closed (unless you plan to toss your Fire around or something). The most pleasant surprise was re: the stand positions. It works GREAT! The half-frame concept is pretty creative - the Fire is always secure, but you're still able to tilt it two different angles. Overall, I highly recommend.
Beautiful design, a rworthy carrying case. But without a clasping system it loses some function. Overall, I'm keeping it.
I love this cover. My Kindle Fire sits in it securely, and I can get a better grip on my Fire by holding the cover instead of the Fire itself. I can flip the cover the whole way back on itself, and prefer reading with it flat that way instead of like a book. I feel that the sturdy cover gives my Fire good protection against accidents, and certainly keeps it safe from scratches when I put it in my purse. I love the easel feature. I often read hands-free. I can imagine it would be even more convenient for movies.
At first I was going to buy the 1st half way decent one I found, because the store I bought the Fire from had no more cases! I found the Carbon Fiber one, and so far (only have had for one day) looks like I'll be keeping it. It looks sharp, perfect for a guy - Or girl! And seems very secure. This is my first kindle, but holding the case and fire feels just like reading a book! Would definitely suggest to others.
When I placed my pre-order for my Kindle Fire I immediately popped over to my other favoured gadget "crack" site, M-Edge. I looked about trying to decide which jacket was worthy enough to put on the latest addition to my ever growing Kindle collection. And, of course, I found the perfect cover for my new gadget - the Hampton in platinum. It not only looks elegant but it feels good in your hand. Would I buy this one again? You betcha! Will I be tweeting and FBing about the Hampton? Absolutely! This is one Gadget Girl who is an M-Edge fan for life!
I have no complaints so far about this after having it for a few months. It's thick enough to provide adequate protection but not so bulky as to be annoying and unnecessary. The stand works great and I use it all the time. I'm very, very happy with my purchase.
I really love my cover. I had previously purchased the Kindle Touch and had the cover for it too. When I got the Fire I had to have the M-Edge cover for it as well. I love the quality and ease of usage. Thanks M-Edge for a quality product

I love this jacket! I took some time ordering a cover for my Fire and reviewed several options. What I like about the Hampton is the way it folds so that when you view it sideways, it is secure. Plus the flap that protects the screen will not get dirty from the flap sitting on a dirty table/base. Also like the "heft" feel!
Summary: Good cover... but... Comment: I currently own 3 different Kindle Fire covers. The Hampton is my favorite and here's why: One of my 'other' covers is too thick and the groove where the Kindle stands isn't deep enough, causing the Kindle to slip out every now and then. Another cover is nice, but, has clips that have to be unclipped whenever the Kindle is used in stand form. To be honest, I have t wonder how long those clips will last. The M-Edge Hampton is a nice, low-profile case. The grooves are plenty deep enough to hold the Kindle in stand form for as long as necessary. And there are no clips to undo whenever I want to put it into stand form. The leather is gorgeous and nice to the touch on the Hampton, too. So, overall, I've had a very good experience with it. My only qualms about it are (1) one of the speakers is covered by the case and (2) there's no actual closure for it. It doesn't remain closed if it's inside my bag. So, 1 star off for those two things. Other than that: perfect.
Great product! This cover is sturdy, professional-looking, and easy to hold one-haned for reading. I particularly like the fun way the easel function is designed, so that only the outside of the cover touches tabletops, etc. This keeps the screen much cleaner! The only improvement I could recommend would be a small storage pocket or zipper compartment. Shipping was fairly quick. Overall, I am very happy with the quality, look, and function of this product.
Very nice look and feel. Very sturdy. One major let down for me is that the case does close tight. Almost as if it should be a tad bigger to align with the Kindle. Just purchased from Target. Not sure if I'll be keeping or returning.😔

I LOVE this Hampton Jacket for my Kindle Fire. It's very sturdy and the half-frame mounting system is great. It props up pretty well and it's nice that it's the outside of the jacket that actually touches surfaces you lay it on.
The case for the Kindle Fire is well made and specified. The Kindle fits very well into the case. No negative comments on this product but 1 suggestion, much like the other reviewer- manufacturer may want to consider a closure of some type, flap, snap, etc..
When I ordered my cover, I thought that I might not receive it in time for my trip. However, my shipment arrived VERY quickly. Thank you M-Edge! This cover feels good in your hands, and I felt that my Kindle Fire was very well-protected. The only thing that I might add to it is some sort of fold-over closure that keeps it shut when not in use. Other than that, it's a wonderful case that I would highly recommend!
Love this cover! I have an M-Edge for my first Kindle and bought this for my new Kindle Fire. The only improvement could be a magnetic catch to keep it closed.
The Hampton has a good quality, looks nice, especially with the carbon looks, but what I miss is something that it keeps closed when you don't use your kindle. It should have a magnet or just a simple strap like others. I know I could have bought a different cover, but I just wanted the carbon look and I didn't find it somewhere else. So I have to live with it like it is.
I recently obtained the Plum Ultrafabric Microfiber Hampton Jacket and am again most pleased with the fine quality of a M-Edge product. I do attest to the accuracy of the information in the product overview. This is my first jacket that has the half frame mount and I find that it securely holds the Fire without obstructing or distracting the screen view. Actually, this cover has been designed to cover the slightly larger lower (when in portrait mode) screen border -a small feature not found in other fire covers with like mounts. My cover also has 4 holes in the top part that covers the right speaker. I find the sound quality remains good and not compromised at all. Landscape stand position is steady given the sturdy construction and adequate depth of the groove design. The Plum color is elegant, muted and not purple. The Ultrafabric is slightly textured and soft. I have been pleased with my previous M-Edge products and no less delighted with this one. Thank you M-Edge!
